On-street visibility was an essential objective, especially at night when most classes are scheduled. On the first evening of every new course, staff were accustomed to taking calls from participants who were walking around the area unable to find the centre. The signage needed to be visible from the corner of Talbot Street — a distance of 130 metres (165 yards) – without requiring planning permission.
Brand Design _ Dublin Buddhist Centre
New brand identity for Dublin Buddhist Centre, including: logo design; original photography; copy and design for all print and promotional materials; exterior signage; and concept for website supplied to web developer. The brief was to maintain the essence of traditional Buddhist imagery and meaning while communicating the contemporary, urban energy and relevance of the Dublin centre and its community. It was also important to ensure a visual link to the international organisation to which the Dublin centre belongs. The design process was intensely collaborative, and active research and idea development took place over a two year period with the aim of creating a brand that was meaningful and authentic in all its aspects.
